1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Glu Butler application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. License Grant

Glu Butler grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App in accordance with these Terms. This license is limited to personal, non-commercial use.

You may not:

  • License, sell, rent, lease, assign, distribute, transmit, host, outsource, disclose or otherwise commercially exploit the App or make the App available to any third party
  • Copy, decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, attempt to derive the source code of, or decrypt the App
  • Make any modification, adaptation, improvement, enhancement, translation or derivative work from the App
  • Remove, alter or obscure any proprietary notice or labels on the App

3. Description of Service

Glu Butler is a personal health management application designed to help users track and analyze their blood glucose levels. The App provides:

  • Blood glucose data visualization and tracking
  • Integration with user devices via Apple Health
  • Food diary and meal logging features
  • AI-powered health reports and insights
  • Data export and sharing capabilities

4. Medical Disclaimer

Important: Glu Butler is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. The App is designed for informational and educational purposes only.

The information provided by the App should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.

Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read or seen in the App.

5. User Responsibilities

By using the App, you agree to:

  • Use accurate and complete data when using the App
  • Use the App only for its intended purpose
  • Not rely solely on the App for medical decisions
  • Consult with healthcare professionals for medical advice
  • Keep your device and the App updated to the latest versions

6. Data Accuracy

While we strive to provide accurate data visualization and analysis, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of:

  • Data imported from third-party devices or services
  • AI-generated insights and recommendations
  • Calculations based on user-provided information

You should always verify critical health information with healthcare professionals.

7. Third-Party Services and Content

The App may access or integrate with third-party services and content, including but not limited to Apple Health and AI service providers. These third-party services are subject to their own terms of service and privacy policies of the respective service providers.

Glu Butler is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, content, or functionality of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and discretion.

8. Subscription and Payment

Glu Butler offers subscription-based premium features within the App. Please read the following terms carefully before purchasing a subscription.

8.1. Subscription Types and Pricing

The App may offer various subscription plans (monthly, annual, etc.), with pricing and benefits specified in the subscription screen within the App. Prices are subject to change without prior notice.

8.2. Auto-Renewal

All subscriptions automatically renew. Unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period, your subscription will automatically renew. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current subscription period.

8.3. Free Trial

If a free trial is offered, you may cancel at any time during the trial period. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial period, you will be automatically converted to a paid subscription and charged.

8.4. Managing and Canceling Subscriptions

You can manage your subscription in your App Store account settings. To cancel your subscription:

  • iPhone/iPad: Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions, select Glu Butler, and tap "Cancel Subscription"
  • Canceling your subscription will allow you to access premium features until the end of the current billing period
  • Turning off auto-renewal will not provide a refund for the current subscription period

8.5. Refund Policy

All purchases are handled according to Apple's refund policy. To request a refund, contact Apple Support directly or visit reportaproblem.apple.com. Glu Butler cannot directly process refunds for purchases made through the App Store.

8.6. Payment Processing

All subscription payments are processed through Apple Inc. and charged to your Apple ID account. Payment information is managed by Apple, and Glu Butler does not have access to your payment information.

8.7. Apple's Terms and Conditions

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are the exclusive property of Glu Butler and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App and all services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Glu Butler expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We make no warranty that the services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Glu Butler shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

  • Your use or inability to use the App
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of data on your device by third parties
  • Any errors or omissions in any content, analysis results, or reports provided by the App

12. Termination

Glu Butler reserves the right to immediately terminate or suspend your access to the App without prior notice if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease, and you must discontinue use of the App.

You may terminate these Terms at any time by deleting the App and ceasing use of the services.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United States.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions of these Terms shall remain in full force and effect.

14. Changes to Terms

The service provider reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
